O Salutaris Hostia Chant

A luxuriant copy of a handwritten Gregorian Chant, O Salutaris Hostia. This hymn is typically sung during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, though often a different melody. The melody chosen for this piece is O Salutaris Hostia II. 

This piece features a beautifully detailed and illuminated “O” - in a Gothic style, painted with blue gouache and flourished with red vines. The versal is laid on a field of gold leaf.

Finish: Available as basic (no gold leaf added), imitation gold leaf, and genuine 24kt gold leaf. Imitation gold leaf has a very bright, flat shine; genuine gold has a somewhat raised appearance, and a beautiful but slightly less bright shine than imitation gold.
