A print of the Memorare prayer (English) in a Neo-Classical/Italic style of calligraphy. This piece features a beautifully illuminated "R" set on a background of a deep burgundy, and a gold-framed border of simple leaves.

I completed this project over the Summer of 2019. The primary text is black in an italic script. The initial and margin are a combination of watercolor paints and gold ink.

Size: Available in 5x7", 8x10", and 11x14" sizes. Printed on 100% cotton velvet textured fine art paper for lasting color quality and vibrancy. Frame not included.

Finish: Available as basic (no gold leaf added), imitation gold leaf, and genuine 24kt gold leaf. Imitation gold leaf has a very bright, flat shine; genuine gold has a somewhat raised appearance, and a beautiful but slightly less bright shine than imitation gold.

Formative Art for My Little Ones

My husband and I were given an 8x10 print of the English Memorare for our son’s baptism. It is SO beautiful. I made it the focal piece of a little gallery wall above my son’s bed. Now he and his brother see it when we pray with them each night. I concentrated in medieval studies in my academic career and I find this work to be a true likeness to its predecessors, while keeping its own uniqueness. A beautiful continuation of the illuminated tradition for our times. I know it must delight Our Lady and I pray she will use its beauty to form the heart and mind of our sons and new little daughter.
